Key problem

Hello all,
I recently lost a key ring that had my Fulvia keys on it. No problem, I thought, since I have a second set. I have been driving around happily enjoying the cooler weather until today when I stopped to fill up with gas. My second set of keys which works perfectly to open the doors and unlock the trunk, absolutely refuses to open the gas filler door. I have tried lubricating the lock, jiggling, cleaning the key with a wire brush, as well as a lot of swearing, to no avail. There is a small badge on the key ring with K7228 on it, which I am hoping is a code to have more keys made, but I have no idea where to get blanks and have them made. Does anyone have any knowledge or ideas? In the meantime, I have only 1/4 tank of fuel left and I don't want to force the door open and damage it. (By the way, I have a 1974 S3) Thanks!
