Greetings all,

I am about to undertake a rebuild on my spare Volumex engine (the one currently in my VX coupe has so much little end rattle I have the stereo turned up LOUD all the time). I'm starting to get things organised but although I can track down head gasket sets easily enough I haven't tried to get my hands on other gaskets/seals. Is there anything in short supply on that front that I should be looking out for? This will be a very thorough rebuild so I'm keen to do it right.
I'm still looking for information/expertise on sidedraught conversions for VX engines. Surely someone who reads the forum has some experience of this?
Also still looking for info on replacement petrol tank for my VX, I might have a replacement made up in alloy (when I'm rich) but in the meantime anyone got any ideas?

How bad is the old tank? if it is a bit perforated or leaking round the seam I used a tank sealant from Frost restorations it's American. from Por15 & works well.

To be honest not sure as am afraid to take the tank out.... but cheers! Might try a sealant if a new tank doesn't come my way.
