Appia Vignale

Unread post by SearaCardoso »

Hello,

I'm a Lancia fan from Portugal and I'm negotiating an Appia Vignale.

The car is for restoration but it has a problem that I'll need some help on.

It is the 2 seater version, from '58.

The problem is the soft top, that seems to be non original or at least some parts are missing. I' ve seen a picture from those times and it had some sort of structure on top of the side windows, this one has none, and the main structure also seems non-original. I'll try to take some pictures.

Is it possible for anyone to send me some pictures of an original soft top? This is the reason that is keeping me from buying the car.

Thank you,

Ricardo Seara Cardoso

Hello

Thank you very much it will be very helpfull!

Is it the two seater version or does it has back seats?

Maybe a photo of the trunk would also be important, and the dashboard, if possible!

Thank you

my car has the back seats, although i don't think i would want to ride back there. maybe ok for children. if you send me a pm with your email address i will send the pictures you want. i would post them here but the file size limit is very small. the pictures show the dash, top frame (still needs repainted), and trunk. the trunk has been stripped and coated with a speckled trunk paint. original should have a diamond pattern vinyl covering most surfaces. later i will do this to mine.
hope this helps,
brian
