My VX coupe (which is never less than mildly entertaining when trying to sort out niggling faults) has sprung a new one on me. I had noticed it was running very cool, and assumed the thermostat was to blame. Sure enough, when I took the old one out and boiled it within an inch of its life it reluctantly let a very small amount of coolant through the system. Problem solved, and I put in a new one. Only there is still no evidence of the heater working; anyone got any ideas???

Fixed it! Stripped all coolant pipes off - clear. Washed out system - clear. Left it overnight with no fluid in system and flushed it out next morning- sludge!! Now have a quite effective heater, just got to get the rear screen fixed now...
