VX exhaust manifold.

Help!! Urgently require a Volumex exhaust manifold in good/usable condition. Seems mine has three different stud sizes(!) and is warped at downpipe flange. can anyone help?? Would prefer not to have the rest of a car attached, but...

Hamish, this seems to be a weak point on the betas. I replaced my VX exhaust with a (expensive) stainless steel one. This does away with that crappy joint as well as returning an extra 3mpg with a nice increase in power. The downside is that I needed to make a heat shield as the new pipework went close enough to the steering rack rubber boot, which in time made it brittle and fall apart! Good luck with it.

Neil, Ta for info. Have though about this route but I need a ball-park figure for costing a s/s exhaust. So, without wishing to pry too much (!!), how much will I have to budget and where did you get your system? Cheers Hamish

Hi Hamish,

I have the same problem with the same car (in Spain). If you know where to get original or handmade stainless steel exhaust manifold and exhaust tubes for the Beta coupe VX please let me know (ruben@viva-lancia.com).
