Hi

I am about to have my Fulvia repainted. The code I have is Lechler 121 (lancia Blue).
My painshop is seeking a more detailed formula (as I think he will use a different paint manufacturer- and 2 pack)

I have tried a couple of places and the e-mail address on the Viv Lancia page, but to no avail. The best I got was a Max Meyer code of MM 1.306.7069, which might be the same as Ditzler 14886 but I am not sure. In any event technical mixture details still missing!

Any technical spec would be appreciated

Lancia Blu is code 12069

That Glasurit color finder is interesting, but it has some confusing information (note the overlapping dates and different codes for beige mirabello). In my Glasurit swatch book, the code for Blu Lancia is LAN 174. Go figure.

I have no Lechler numbers aside from the QuatroRuote article from some years back, showing the Flaminia PF Coupe including a Blu Lancia with a Lechler# 1332.
I have, however, some older MM numbers, and some Fulvia era MM numbers and formulas.

The old MM numbers for Blu Lancia are:
12.069
1.152.7069 A/80
1.252.7069

Fulvia era numbers (1967):
MM Acrylic (2 part): Lancia code 6984192, MM# 1.711.7497
MM Nitro Acrylic: Lancia code 6981191, MM# 2.272.7169

The formula (in a seperate publication) of Blu Scuro:
Original Lancia Enamels Series 313: 2.313.7497
Maxidur Series 346: 1.306.7069 (alkyd-melamine, oven cured 40-50 min. @80*C/175*F)

The "69" ending in most numbers is almost consistent, and I think probably might be found in other lists. I have seen some Lancia paint codes listed with different prefixe but same suffix in older Alfa paint codes. As far as the "partial"/"progressive" formulas, I'm not a painter and don't have a clue.

I hope this helps a bit, rather than just adding to the confusion.

That's pretty cool. Now all we need are 842 grams of Milori Blue.....

Very useful formula, particularly if you substitute "cumulative" for "progressive."

Of course, as Geoff alludes to, it assumes that mat's painter has access to Max Meyer paint--something that probably wouldn't be possible in the US.
