Lancia in Austria

Hello Again, this is sort of a Fulvia subject, but not only ! So I do not wish to post it only under Fulvia, in case it is overlooked by other Lancisti except for us, the fine & ... oops.. lets see if I can spell this the 1st time ...sophisticated Fulvisti, thank you..; so I posted it in Ramblings as well.

I was recently given a stack of 80's / early 90's Viva Lancia Magazines from Rene v. Gamma. Lucky Me !
Great magazine with contributions from many authors from everywhere, it seems, in the Lancia World contributing wise, funny, sad, happy and everything between words.

Great Photos & Cartoons.

Also, numerous articles previously printed in earlier years have been reprinted - which is like stepping back to (when I had all my hair !) welll, erm... yes, to earlier years !!

....oh oh oh my my my
I say at least 10x a week; although there were a few times some verbal-variations on that term that I will not repeat here (blush blush) B)- were said out loud, usually with a loud laugh :D

So many lovely reports about Lancia; of all Lancia & Lancisti generations, meetings, racing, clubs & history.
I have read all of them; ca 100 .... starting with Fulvia; what else ?
Well, I also devoured anything refering to Gamma (there is a lot:); moving on the every other report about everything written; particulary enjoying the reports of Lancia Personalities,,,unfortunately with a number of very sad obituaries. Alas

So, OK, what is this leading to you (may) ask (if you wish to). Read On or Surrender :)

I particually enjoyed a report submitted by Josef Woess of Austria in Oct 97, about the history of Lancia in AT as well as about the Lancia Club Oestreich (there is a website). It is, of course informative in Lancia matters since the Club was formed & previous to the Club being founded in the late 80's. References to Mussolini ! ; about Ralleys & Races, as to why there are so few old Lancia in AT, Lancia in scrapyards & why Lancia were never very popular and............I quote:
...."thanks to the Fulvia model a Lancia Club in Austria was founded.... A number of (weak) personalities could not resist the charm and attractions of the Fulvia. The Fulvia, agile but fragile, demanded a lot of enthusiasm from her admirers". end quote

I am still laughing !!!!!!!!!!
