in past I was always a bit frazzled getting past Lux to Meet-Point in BE. Heavy Stop & Go Friday PM Traffic Galore. Not this year:)
ETAP Motor-Hotel in Barley-Duck, Fr was EZ to find & was exactly as expected; clean & convenient.
Restaurant in town 'not on any map' on 'street w/out name' including "escort & taxi-service" with an "on the spot" repair of broken rear fulvia spring..... just great ! You 'ad to be there to appreciate it all !
as for rest of Rallye ? There are not enough words to express my apprecation etc & ad infinitum .... but plenty curves, hills, valleys, panoramas & (for me) 2 great "Navigators" & many "just follow-us teams"
Thanks to all who worked so hard organizing, running & attending from all corners almost of Euro .
Was sad to not see those who could not attend:(
There was a bit of heavy traffic on my return trip, near Colmar (Fr); the sun was shining for 400 of the 500km & on we (I & everyone else enjoying the day) went; slowly thru construction sites.
It wasn't Stop&Go on the way home... until it was time to turn toward Karlsruhe. River-Crossing Traffic was stopped/chocker-blocked for miles; so onward I drove without crossing a river...past Lauterbourg,F to Kandel,D. Roads were deserted but the rain came; washing off a lot of "Rallye Dust" !
