Re: For Sale Lancia Fulvia Rally Car
818630 for 25k !! Am I missing something here?????
Re: For Sale Lancia Fulvia Rally Car
Yeah, I saw that too. It's the same year as my S3 1.3s, just all dolled up to look like an HF right down to the yellow valve cover. I think he says in there it's a 1.3s Montecarlo. The way it's equipped, I'm sure it'd be fun if you are looking for a race day rally car, but 25,000... NOT! imho
Re: For Sale Lancia Fulvia Rally Car
It says there is a tuned 1600 engine in there. And lots of other mods. Personally I would be very interested in the sills. I wonder why it is for sale.
One has to decide for him/herself if one wants to put the money in a standard car or a heavily modified non standard car. When I started to do the regularity rallies I was also nearly tempted by all the things the factory did but discovered just in time that the factory had a service team. I don't. And for regularity rallies a good navigator and pilot are important. The car can be a standard Fiat 500.. Any car which does not give problems is good. A standard coupe in godo condition is excellent.

Re: For Sale Lancia Fulvia Rally Car
Yes, the problem here is the car is not a "pure" 1600HF, it's a modified 1300. Also it is 1975, here in the UK, for example, the Post Historic rally class is up to 31st Dec 1974, so it doesn't qualify to win events. I am not sure how that applies across the rest of the world. So what events is it eligible for? That has a big bearing on its value.
Certainly, if it makes 25,000 Euro, as a genuine 1600 HF owner I'll be a happy man

Re: For Sale Lancia Fulvia Rally Car
It is my guess that "Hatze", who started this Topic, is the "Seller"; so "Hello Hatze, where R your comments
to these messages? / Melde dich, Mensch". Tell us everything a potential buyer needs to know ! Alles !
Selling via V' Lancia is OK by me (what do Huib say ?) , since V' Lancia is pr'b'bly the quik'st way to let the Fulvia World know about the Sale. I checked the V' Lancia German Forum & yes, the sale has been announced there too.
I don't understand ebay ! Why would anyone start bidding hi'er & hi'er prices in the 1st few days ?
OK, when starting price is 1.00 someone has to open the bidding at that price...but why not then "leave it to stew" until the last few hours or at least until the last day ? Why get frantic in the 1st few days ??
It appears that the owner (Hatze?) has recently sunk a ton of monies* into this Project; perhaps a lot more than the "buy-now-wish-for-price". How much more needs to be invested ? Can it be driven on the street ? * Be that as it is, I doubt that 25K will be reached.
Erlangen is only 2 hours NW from my location (not counting the ineviatble traffic-jams). If I thought it was worth looking at I'd drive there....but I havn't even been up to see the Fulvia Coupe in Frankenthal, which is 20 minutes away (been travellin/busy)...so E'gen isn't in the cards.
There are several other F' Coupes (OK, without the special-extra's that Hatze Car has) incl. a Rallye S that is also only 2hrs SW from here (Villingen) ... that I'm ebay observing & just/perhaps/etc go to look at if the bids stay very low. Also A "Z" that didn't sell a few weeks ago - this Fulvia sounds too good to be true;
initial impressions are that the starting price may be fair ... but when would I ever have a reason to visit Pocking, near the CZ Border (5 to 6 hour drive in a "ntow-car with trailer)) ?
If I was looking for (another Z) I'd already be on the way ! I'd take an expert & he'd take a tool-kit, magnets & test-guages. But, 1 Z is (never) enough.

Lancia Fulvia Rally Car
sorry, I am no longer "Road Sweeper". It is easier to be myself.
For Sale in AT Lancia Fulvia
not forgetting the 1.3 Coupe in Villach, AT that is still under Euro 1K, 3 days B4 bidding ends.
Re: For Sale in AT Lancia Fulvia
Well done Hartze - must be sad to see your Fulvia go after all the effort you put in to make her perform to the max.
The engine alone would have cost many 1000s of Euros to build with special cams etc . Just the Steering wheel around 250 Euros and those Campagnolo rims would not be cheap, so when you add up the parts a lot more than 25k Euros me thinks.
If you want a genuine HF rally car you can double the price at least!
