strange days in Fulviaville
Posted: 13 Jul 2010, 18:05
I will post this msg here under Fulvia & under General Messages; since it may partially or fully concern all Lancisti & all Fulvisti someday, perhaps.
I am beginning to work on (baby steps required) a website for "only Lancia Photos" of "Lancia of Events, John (me) & friends; those I know & those I don't. A little history as text for each car will be welcome.
Ahem....I will emphasize my own Ful Z & Gamma(s) of course. Still, I will ask all my Lancia Friends (mostly Gamma & Fulvia/Flavia) to post photos & a short history of their lovely Lancia.
It will not have a forum; it will not preach, tell jokes or be updated on a daily basis.
The idea to do this "fun-thing" came from the project of marketing my S2 Fulvia Zagato 1.3S & my not having any time to do anything about that project.
Also, since I owe at least 60 inquirers photos of everything, including inside of tires (tyres for some).ha ha
Also, so those who email "funny messages" can look at this car in detail before sending more funny emails & funny follow-up messages, that make me suspicious.
No one, I tend to believe, writes serious emails with words to the effect of :
"in the name of God we pray that you and all of your family are well and place belief in our trust in your kind person. We will instruct our Bank Manager to immediately send a Security-Draft with the intent to purchase at a price higher than you are asking including a donation for your troubles with customs documents & transport arrangements at your convenience. Where is the car now stored; where is it currently visable for an inspection by a person whom we implicitly trust. There are no photos required, we believe your every word. We will arrange for an inspection & while you are here with us, bless us all, we need a much personal data concerning your personal person, your business & home address, bank details; we trust you, we request than no one else every be allowed to speak to you ever again about anything concerning all things under the sun. We will be contacting you soon for instructions. When the money is safely in your etc etc"..
These emails are actually rather lovely prose; somehow "funny" & certainly "suspicious"; therefore I have no intention of following anyones instructions.
However, there have been numerous inquiries from various places in the world, where I tend to believe that the inquirer is the "honest real-deal"; those who have written..." I want something cheap to restore" have been asked to look elsewhere & good luck !
Details to follow ?
