Hello, I just purchased a Flaminia GTL, and would like to know more about my car. Does the VIN number say anything about the car? Like when it was produced for example? VIN number is 826140001295
Also, is there a way of knowing the original color combination it was produced in? I know from experience the Archivio Storico Alfa Romeo works well, is there something similar for Lancia?
Finally, are the CDs offered here any good?
Thank you
Henry

Re: New Flaminia Owner
Hi Henry,
Nice to see you on this forum. According to the reference sources, 826.140 was produced from 1963 - 1965, and the chassis numbers run from 001002 to 001300. With yours being only 5 cars from the end of the run, I'd say yours is from 1965.
The Fulvia CDs on this site are very good, so I'd assume the same of the Flaminia discs.
There is a Registro Storico Lancia (http://www.lancia-club.it/RegistroStorico/), but I don't know if they'll have color info on your particular car. You should, however, be able to learn the interior color that went with your exterior color, and I suspect that your white exterior color is probably original. A check on the metal work under the dash could probably confirm that; it's unlikely to have had a bare metal respray.

Re: New Flaminia Owner
Thanks Ed, I also think the white is probably original, and I've seen pictures of white cars with tan interior similar to mine so that one could also be original. I'll try the Registro Storico
