Lancia poised for UK comeback
11 Nov 2005
Lancia could be poised for a comeback in the UK following the brand’s move to increase right hand drive production for Asia-Pacific markets. The Fiat Group-owned marque pulled out of the UK in 1994 when it stopped right hand drive production. A spokesman for Fiat confirmed last week that a return to the UK was being considered as the brand draws up plans for RHD production for its forthcoming Delta and Fulvia models. “It is conceivable and it is under discussion,” he said. “There could be some incremental sales for the UK but the main focus will be the Asian markets, especially Japan,” he said.
