I hope i@m not teaching my granny to suck eggs, re crumbling trim/ i've read about dash tops, but on my S2 I had a door handle dropping yellow dandruff on the carpets, ( not a problem for me because it was the passenger side but mon general was making such a mess when she closed the door). removing it, poke out all the loose crud, mask up and refill it with a can of expanding polyurethane mousse ( as used in DIY projects) . Seems to work OK. Long term only time will tell . I will let you know if there's a problem. No news is good news.
