short version: Zagato 1.3S for sale. Type: 818650. 2 owner; 1 Gent in Zurich + me.
Currently "nothing needs to be done" except to drive this fine car more than I am able to.

With 8 cars in one 3 person family, the least-used / most-loved Lance should go to someone who will drive it ...

I have recieved some inquiries about the black - mask; I hope I am correct in saying that all S2 Zagato had black masks & that all S1 had silver masks.;)

Mask?

Assume you mean grille and lamp covers?? Lampcovers were black inside and alloy polished rim.

yes;
I was referring to the matt black "alloy" racoon-eyes headlamp-surrounds.
I looked at my Z this AM to see the condition of these items; they look fine.
I now can report, herein that S2 Grills are black plastic with alloy polished inserts, making them (help!) a very expensive item to replace (lord forbid)X(

your racoon eyes (ummm) they need a border of pure alloy!

Re grille try sourcing a S1 stainless one - much rarer!!

fifth row down, red car with blue butt & USA Flag.

I am driving it this week & will post more photos soonly; of interior & details...sorry, I've not taken any photos of it before myself.

I've also not been able to, with so much travel on my plate, keep track of exactly whom from where asked what nor when they asked, so I'll go over a few points quickly.

83000km; runs like a charm; looks great to me & those who know it....2 owner including me, documented history /mileage. original play-thing in Switzerland; now play thing in St. Leon (Heidelberg) . accident free; was painted well & properly in 83, needs no paint attention nor body-work issues to be taken care of in 2010 !!! ; has 2 black sports seats with 4 point red harness. leather lancia steering wheel, Delta Milano sports wheels with little red elephants...on Michelin Energy 185x15, is S2,

Jul 1972; 5 speed. lhd, of course; currently registered & driven sometimes in Spring/Summer/Autumn...not in winter... It gets its MOT each year with flying colors & is slightly faster that Johnny's Zitron Ami8,

Sorry that this has taken so long; the car was buried under a pile of bricks & cobblesones in back of a flooded warehouse all winter, so I couldn't take it outside without moving a lot of heavy objects, that haves in last few days been cleared...exposing a bright shiny Fulvia Z. The Original seats, belts & plastic steerring wheel stll available.

It fired up the first time I treid to start it & is a ) very quiet when idling b) very loud when idling & I am losing my hearing. I vote for 90% for a) & 10% for b) ;)...but when I was slowly rolling down the street to my office today, in neutral, I thought the motor had shut itself off (saving fuel); but the rpm still read 1000...so it must by quite quiet !

bein a good ol boy from zhe USA southland; I grew up wid racoon in my backyard everyday; they are my favorite animal & so cute. Thus I see racoon eyes (mesmerize) every time I look at my Z; which ...by the way...seems to mesmerize me more & more the longer I own it . especially áfter it has been locked away all winter & I have been reduced to enyjoying a mere Gamma, yippee...every day ;);)

also...why does yourLHD Z have large rubber bumper over-riders ? to meet UK law ?
They look to be similar to USA crash-standard bumpers ca 1973. Starting in 74 there was no way that a Fukvia could have meet US standards...thus I assume it was time for the Beta Coupe to enter the market.

I've not seem these rubber protrusions om Z's elsewhere; not that I've seem many Z's in my entire life !
I never saw a Fulvia of any shade or color in the USA,,,,ever.

Are the ruber bumber overriders actually bolted to the chassis frame ? Do they have any sort of energy absorbing function or are they cosmetic ? Were they also required on S1 Z in UK.

I am also a bit confused by the bumpers on your Z; in that they have no protective rubber facing ? Why not ?

finally: how popular were Z in the UK away back when they were new - vs. normal Fulvia Coupes & - more or less - ... do you have an idea of how many are Fulvia Z in the UK currently ? Not only 1600, but all Z's.
I'd imagine only a smattering of Z & very few 1.6 Z.

I'd like to know how many Z are running in Germany...I really havy no idea- but I'd guess 6 ??? at best.

Re overriders the black rubber ones were I belive special to all 1600's many of which have got lost so quite rare.... your car should have bumpers of some sort..... Defo not to do with safety only styling!

BTW my car is RHD!!!! - very few RDH 1600's were made (some say c 90-100). Somewhere there are stats of all Z's. I have a copy of the register in UK which lists many....
