brake booster (again)

Unread post by carlos »

Hi forum!

Here I am again to tell you that the servo is not working anymore. I just disconnected the vacuum hose and the brake feeling is the same.
So, I ask: Can we overhaul the servo unit? Is it an easy job, or must I have special tools?
The servo unit is the only part of my Fulvia that I never disassemblied...

Please state your experiences,

Thanks in advance,

Carlos

There should be a vacuum valve in the hose. Is it working?

It is a one way valve, and is it is working, Huib.

Today, I have disassemblied the master cilinder and servo unit, and I will let you know what happened.

The master cilinder is O.K..
The problem should be the servo unit.
Is there any method to check if it is working correctly?
Any special procedure to open it?

Opening is not the problem. Closing is. Better take it to a specialist.

I just oppened the servo unit, and I found 2 big cracks on the rubber near the edges.
Know the problem is how to remove the diaphragm, to replace it.
Can anybody help me?
