Hello,
does anybody know for a 818.540 engine + 45 mm carb´s and Colombo Bariani stradale medio cams the value of ignition to be used ?
Is it the same that oem specs, or can it be set more wild ?

With the 45s, you will probably need some more advance at idle 12 - 14 degrees to get better pick-up, but I would still think that you do not want any more than 32 -35 maximum advance at the top end of the rev range.

With 42's and var1016 type cams I find I can run an additional 5 deg (ie 15 deg static advance) without pinking. Timing these cams is critical and max opening at c 110deg ATDC/BBDC is about right from data I have. Otherwise pinking will occur earlier from my experience.
