Fun on Irish Rally Retro

Unread post by Michael Beattie »

Just finished the 2007 version of the IMRC Irish Rally Retro, which was a 300 mile 2 day event based in the Wicklow mountains, south of Dublin.

The competition consisted of regularity sections based on some of the famous rally stges in the area, with the occasional short diversion onto some forest tracks, and special tests timed to the second ranging from blasts around farm lanes to autotests. There was also a full blown night navigation rally which is a high speed dash up and down many of the minor roads in the area.

The HF1600 performed perfectly, we were "clean" ( penalty free) on the night nav and the car ran well in the tests.

If you go to YouTube and search for IMRC Retro you should find a short video we made of some of the autotests, or try the link below

Thanks for posting! Looks like grand fun.

Always nice to a Fulvia adding interest and distinction to an event.
