'75 Fulvia 3 to be sold on US eBay this week

Unread post by chasm61 »

Hello all...

It is with much regret that I am going to have to sell my beloved "Tessa". Personal matters require that I pass this gorgeous car on to some lucky buyer. I'll be listing it later today, but have one more show next Saturday before, perhaps, saying good-bye. For now though, I've attached a couple pics for those of you who might wish to pass the information along to interested US buyers.

Thanks for all your interesting posts and guidance over the 2 years I've been lucky enough to own this fine car.

Regards...Chas

The car is in Grapevine TX, smack in the middle of the country.
The eBay listing number is 290347395089.
Price will depend on the auction, but I've seen two Fulvias sell on eBay in recent months for $12k and $17k. This car, in my opinion, would fall somewhere in between - probably closer to $12k than $17k.
Thanks for your interest!

Hey Ed...

Thanks for your helpful comments on BringATrailer.com. I appreciate your perspective and I believe the US Lancia community respects your opinion. I do truly believe this is a fine example, Fulvia 3 and all. It's been relentlessly reliable and an utter joy to drive. As I've noted elsewhere, I really wish I didn't have to sell it, and part of me hopes I don't get any reasonable offers. I will not give the car away, so there may be hope for me to keep it in that respect. Now if I can just find a way of explaining that to my wife!

Warm Regards...Chas

Chas,

I was happy to help, but also happy that it wasn't enough help to get it sold. If you know what I mean.

I really hope you can figure out a way to hang onto it. As for explanation, you can always try "it's obviously a bad time to try to sell this," and see if you can use that until it becomes a good enough time that you no longer have to sell it.

Good luck, and best regards.

smiley face: here is aa Joke ; take it in Vein; or is that Vane, or Vain. The Joke: Wife ? What Wife ??

I bet she drives a sensible car !! Smart Lady !!

Anyway, when you get finished laughing; I second Ed's comment below.

A few yrs back, when I was in a unplanned "between professions" situation, I added a 2d job to my normal job; which was the job (profession) causíng me to be "between professions". I was soon pleased that this occured; because the 2d was a lot more lucrative than the 1st one...which I kept anyway !!!
After several yrs, the 1st ...became the better of the two; which now allows me to keep my Fulvia & work 12-14 hrs a day (because I want to)...actually, it was the 1st that allowed me to rejoin the ranks of those who have a car (or more) that they enjoy driving & not only a car they they drive.

1 day I stopped the 2d & have not missed it since !!!

I wish you some similar fortune ! By the way, you live in a nice neighborhood ! Lots of clean air !!

Hi again...
For those of you who are interested and follow these things, my car was sold to a buyer in Annapolis Maryland for a purchase price of $12,300. I'll be very sorry to see her go, but I'm sure from my conversations with the buyer that she is going to a good home.
Warm Regards...Chas

Actually no, I still have the car here in TX while he arranges transport.
The "classic car world" appears to be much more active on the West Coast and Northeast than it is in TX, so I'm sure he'll get a lot of use out of the car. And there will be many more Lancias for "Tessa" to play with than I've been able to provide. :)
