leather treatment

Last year a neighbor watched me climbing in & out of my Gamma, treating the leather.
He took a look at the product I was using; a Top-Name Product with a druther steep-price.
He asked me, so I told him - "no, it hasn't helped much & this is the 3d application."

He said "try a body-creme; what is good for your skin is good for a cow skin; what you have here is the same thing, more or less, at a higher price",

2 weeks ago I went to a discount-chain drug-store & bought their low-priced "house creme"; available with various nice aromas; avoiding the higher priced "brand.name" cremes.

I chose coconut aroma; took some time to do the job right & am still entirely satisfied.

No "Thatcher-Roof", but this w'end I'll rub jamica rum into the leather to get that "pina la pina colada" feeling

Of course I'll have to test various sorts of Rum first, to get the most desirable aroma !

I'Ll probably need to apply a brown rum ! Those who no this wonderful & wacky Gamma will understand why;)

btw...Dietmar F. has posted a foto of his newest Gamma toy, ...wish certainly reminds me of a'nuther Black-Beauty I've seen & been seen it recently...;. He posted on the Gamma Forum & also PM'd that the car is almost where he wants it to be.

I hope to see it, soon. He also will brief me on his new iphone when I travel past his town, soon.

Umm, the rum flavored Gamma mentioned above looks like any other S1 Cup in Argenta with S2 wheels; except for the interior...which I will post fotos of...someday !!

I tend to read everything in the magazines I buy; even the ads for items I have interest in buyng. Last night, leafing thru last months German Motor Klassik I saw an ad for "leather perfume" at € 50 for a small jar !!

What the hel...? "to restore the lost-smell of leather". Now I'm even happier to have coconut for pennies seats.
