Aureliua B22 conrods...

Unread post by jean-marie »

For B10 B21 B22 the N° is B10-2151. B20 1 and 2 serial it is B20-2151 but is is the same conrod.
Motor of B10: 55 CV
Motor of B22: 90 CV and the same conrods.A little too weak.
B22 were doing races and I suppose that they have change these original conrods for others, stronger, soon existing.
Does anyone know something?
For my B22 I want to change these original conrods for new ones, abble to accdept modern conrod-bearings.
Has some one done something ? with existing conrods.

jean-marie,

As you may know, I am having new rods that are designed to use thin wall, new, bearings made for Geoff Goldberg right now. I can report to you when they are completed which should be in about 12 weeks. If you want them, I can order more.

Thank you for your propsition.
It was possible to buy new ones by S Allais, 370 km far from my home.
A company does also new ones out of titanium, but with very high prices.
We have decided to realise them ourself: more practical, much cheaper and maybe quicklier !.
We have bought iron and a company will cut it to get the sketches and we shall finish them in mecchanical workshop with the milling machine.
We'll not touch crankshaft.
Bearings will be modern ones.

Regards:
