Having just received Paul Mayo's excellent Aurelia manual I noticed two suggested changes to the Solex carburettor.
One involves replacing the #230 starter jet with a #180 and the other requires repositioning the pump injectors so they splash against the choke tube rather than directly down the bore.
What symptoms are cured by each and where would one find a #180 starter jet? Can it be soldered up and redrilled or does the solder not provide the proper surface?
