Oooops sorry chaps and chapesses, didn't quite get the html right

Race Retro went well with plenty of Lancia interest. Pics will soon appear on www.lukafoto.com

Anyways, as you can tell from the above, time and money permitting, I am hoping to race BBX (my blue Fulvia 1600) in this season's CSCC championships. There is a S2 1600 also competing.

Test day was last Tuesday at Mallory Park - went well apart for two factors:

1. Tyre company that supplies race Yokohamas failed to show as the unit next door burnt down last weekend. That meant i only had the road wheels i use to drive BBX to circuits (can't afford a trialer and tow car at present!) - standard S1 14" steel wheels with 145/80 rubber! My new bridgestones now have motorcycle racing style wear marks on the outer walls! But I was amazed by how the Fulvia clung to the corners. An NSU TT racer came out for a spin and remarked on the beautiful handling even on these skinny tyres!

2. Brakes - After first 4 laps of testing the brakes locked on at the front and had to be towed into paddock - after cooling off period they were fine again. I bled the front ones slightly to relieve the calipers. After talking to some experienced Fulvia operators I now know it has to do with the brake pedal and rod adjustment to the master cylinder.
