a cry for help!!

Hello k drivers,
my kappa self-destructed on the snelweg in france coming back from holiday. motor block is not worth repairing.
question is now, do i find another engine or just get rid of the car?

Does anyone have any info on where i can lay my hands on a 2.4 td engine? already placed ads on onderdelen zoeker\lijn , awaiting replies.
seems a shame to get rid of the car, i spent a lot on it the past few months. If it comes to the worst, any info on a buyer/sloper for the car for parts also appreciated. i dont want to dump it at a scrapyard for 50 euros!!
A k deserves a better funeral! ;-)

hoi,
thanks guys, recieving some feedback from the requests i placed on the onderdelen websites, i think one could be a reconditioned block, as i have to hand in my old one. will let you know.
trying to decide still whether to repair car or not, (some other factors involved at the moment) but my girlfriend has told me i'm not to buy another lancia again!!!!! second k with problems and also bad memories of a delta. only way around it is lottery win and a thesis ;-)

Hi Cris,

Before you decide to keep the Kappa or buy another Lancia, you should first decide whether to keep the girl or not. After you have done that (and presuming you make the right decision on her) try a Lybra: better made than the Kappa, and lots cheaper to drive than the Thesis.

hoi henk,
unfortunately, her name is on the mortgage to, and being dutch, her bad moods last for what seems eons, so better not to upset her to much!!!!! she was pretty adamant about the "no more bloody lancias......!"

will call 3 breakers tomorow to see what they have in stock, i really dont want to put an engine in without knowing it has not been reconditioned, they can say its only done 70k km's, but how many kappas have you seen with that low a mileage on?

I'll keep you posted............

Hi cris,

For parts : pieter v/d meer in barneveld he has a kappa wreckyard (see also marktplaats)

Or : OSB in Beesd. fiat partsupplier (not too expensive)

Or Gerrit raadstaad in Beesd (a kappa wreckyard)(call OSB for his number).

Good luck

If above addresses doesn't help

Just bought a Kappa at Arense Auto, http://www.arendseauto.nl/, a real Lancia freak. I remember him telling he has some Kappa's for parts.
Maybe he can help you with some missing part or repairing the engine.
