A Fulvia has come available that would make a perfect vintage rally car. I was wondering if anyone has any info what mods the factory did to the works cars. Aside from the HF engines, what suspension changes, gearbox, etc. We are looking to enter stage rallying next year, and of course would love to run a Lancia. However, the lack of readily available spares here in the States does give one pause.
We've also considered a Beta. Same concerns for this car.
What is the current favorite clubman's stage rally car in europe?
Thank you
Dan
Rallying a Fulvia
Re: Rallying a Fulvia
A good starting point is to look at the threads here. Also Carlo Stella's book about the competition Zagato Fulvias is quite informative.
Many of us here have modified our cars and can probably help too.
Ultimately, the modifications will depend upon the regulations in the particular historic eries in which you are ompeting.

Re: Rallying a Fulvia
The series that we will be running is very similar to Group F. Suspension, brakes, etc all free. We have to use a Lancia block, head and tranny case. Very open rules, however, I'm looking to make the more period correct vs. a modern car.
The suspension and brakes will be our first grade. Once we become competent on the stages, we'll upgrade the motor.
Anyone have any pics of the Fulvia works cars suspension? Be interersting to see what reinforcements they made.
Thanks

Re: Rallying a Fulvia
As I said Carlo Stella's book is informative concerning springs etc. You can also get copies of the homologation papers from the FIA showing the various mods homologated in Groups 1 - 4.
