For sale: Girling callipers for S1 Fulvia

For sale: new or completely reconditioned (with a.o. new stainless steel pistons) Girling callipers for S1 Fulvia.

These are not the Girling callipers as used on the S2/3 Fulvia's. These have 4 cilinders of 38mm diameter each. The original Dunlop callipers have two 54 mm cilinders per calliper. The surface area of two 38mm cilinders is exactly equal to the surface area of one 54 mm cilinder. These callipers thus maintain the original braking balance between front and rear wheels.

The diameter of the discs has to be reduced by 6mm to fit these callipers.

Disadvantages:
- not original
- disc has to be reduced in size

Advantages:
- modern, reliable callipers
- easily available brake pads
- low price compared to Dunlop callipers, very low operating cost over a period of 30 years

Price: 500 euro's for one set of callipers including brake pads and the small brake lines to connect to the hoses.
