Heater Valve?

Unread post by Jim »

Anyone had trouble with a broken heater valve? Passenger compartment isn't getting hot and I suspect that the heater valve is jammed up so intend to replace it. Any comments?

Series 1 or series 2 Fulvia?

On series 1 the rubber membrane is probably swollen and needs to be replaced. Also S1 heater cores clog easily.

On series 2 the heater cock has to be replaced. They usually last 5 years.

You expect heat on a Series 1 Fulvia?

Absolutely Randy.

I like my cars nice and hot in the winter. A new thermostat, new heater cock membrane and new heater matrix usually do the job. In winter I replace the 83 degree thermostat with a 89 degree thermostat. Nice and warm inside!
