Fulvia Zagato identification

I have just acquired a 1972 Fulvia 1.3 Sport Zagato. It is licensed as a 1972 (last year for the Zagato?) but it has earlier door handles and the grill and headlight surrounds are not black. Is it true that the last series of Zagato's, whether 1.3 or 1.6, had the flush door handles and blacked out grill/headlight surrounds?
Thanks
Dave

Hello Dave,
I don“t know what you mean with flush door handles, but the correct version you can find
under the Fulvia register on viva-lancia-startside running number 18/19.
There you can see how it is correct.
best regards
Andreas

The surroundings of the headlights and grill should be black with chrome surrounds. The doorhandles can be the same as the 1600 if your car is one of the last build Sports 1.3S. These are the doorhandles also used on the Alfa Junior Zagato. But normally the car is fitted with the doorhandles also used on the series 1 and 1,5 models. Zagato is known for screwing different types of parts on their cars depending on what's on stock at that time. My Zagato is one of the first 1.3s secondseries cars but is fitted with chrome strip on the hood (should be black) and chrome rear windshield surroundings (also should be black). I guess there were still some old parts left in the warehouse, so they fitted these series 1 items on my secondseries car.
