New Kent area LMC meet

Dear all
Those of you who live in Kent, UK may like to know I am setting up a new Lancia Motor Club monthly meeting in the county. For more details, see below. (This text will also appear in February's Viva Lancia! magazine).

New Kent area meeting
The New Year brings a new monthly meeting for Kent. The idea is to have a regular time and place each month when people can drop in - hopefully in their Lancias - to meet other owners, have a couple of drinks, talk about cars and generally socialise informally. This could maybe be the first step for more LMC activities in the county – but one step at a time!
The venue for the new “noggin” is the Chiltern Hundreds pub, at the Bearsted end of Penenden Heath Road in Maidstone. This is close to Junction 7 of the M20, which is right in the middle of the county and also handy for the M2 and A249. The pub affords a good view over a large car park (hopefully containing some fine Italian machinery!) and serves a good range of drinks (and food if required).
I shall be there from 8pm on Wednesday 11th February and at the same time every second Wednesday of the month thereafter. Hopefully one or two others will be able to join me too! Whilst I’ll be delighted to hear from people before they come to a meeting (or indeed anytime), naturally they can just turn up on the night for as long or short as they’d like. Look out for my metallic blue Delta GT in the car park (or perhaps on occasion my Reliant Scimitar GTE in the same colour), and for a tall bloke in his mid-thirties inside with a copy of Viva Lancia!
My aspirations for the meeting at this stage are modest; even a few regular attendees would be excellent. Once the meeting (hopefully) gets established, then perhaps we can talk about a run out or two, or a trip to a show, or whatever people want to do once the weather warms up.
To find the Chiltern Hundreds from Junction 7 of the M20, join the A249 towards Maidstone. Once on the A249, the pub is right next to the second roundabout you come to. Note that to get in, you need to go round the roundabout as if to come back the way you came, then take the first left.
Looking forward to meeting some LMC members in Kent,
Nick Haigh
