Hi,
I am lucky enough to own a 1972 Fulvia 1600HF Lusso in really excellent condition. The only problem I have is with the Carbs. ( I think ). Running from cold the car drives perfectly, when fully warm though trying to drive at a constant speed or on a trailing throttle the car surges and hesitates. It has twin Solex`s are Dellorto`s a better carb, if so did they make a 45mm Carb.
Any comments greatly appreciated as this problem is spoiling an otherwise lovely car.
Thanks
Adrian

You may just have leaky gaskets or a bad float valve. This will cause over-rich running which will be more noticeable when the engine is warm. What do the plugs look like?

Congrats on your great car.

Thanks for the info, I will check the plugs when I can find a plug spanner.I hope that is all it is. The Dell`orto 45mm carbs and competition inlet manifold for the 1600 are very expensive.
