According to the list in la lancia by W. Oude Weernink
Flavia Sport (Zagato) 1500, 1963 chassisnrs 1001-1098, leeft hand drive only
But then should also fit the 1500 Coupe and Convertible

Hello,

According to the "Fulvia, Flavia, Flaminia" book, this type of Flavia does not exist !
This book lists the Sport Zagato 1500 as 815-132 and 815-133, and it sounds more logical as all the other 1500 Flavias were 815-1.. types while 815-3.. were dedicaded to 1800 ones....except for Sport 1800 (logical I said ?)

Following the rules applied to the other chassis types, 815-332 should have been LHD Sport 1800 but it's not as this car is 815-532
Could a LHD Flavia Sport owners confirm this ?

Could not find it in the Fulvia Flavia Flaminia Book either ( I assume you mean Sergio Puttini)
Indeed Puttini gives 132/133 for the 1500 sport
But then I started searching through the lists in the new edition of La lancia, by Wim Oude Weernink, who also knows a thing or two on Lancia
There you find the 815-332 as a Flavia Sport 1500, but only a very limited number of cars and it is also indicated that it was sold as Left hand drive only and only in 1963
It is grouped with the 815.130/131 Coupe and 815. 134/135 Convertible 1500 in both Left hand and Right hand drive
There is also a certain logic since the 1800 coupe and convertible have the 815.330/331 and 815.334/335 type number while the equivalent sport has 532/533
So the specialists disagree but apparently there was a 332 out there

Bert,

I checked in La lancia in both the last and the previous editions and found the informations you mentionned so, who's right ? The fact that Markus has a gearbox type 815.332 make us think that WO Weernink found the right info.
A Flavia Sport 1500 owner could confirm.

Still concerning the Flavia gearboxes, my injection coupé is equipped with a 815.532 gearbox and nothing in the car history indicates that it has been changed, does anyone know if some coupés where equipped with this gearbox, I thought that it could have been an optional choice as the 815.532 seems to have very low ratios compared to a 815.400 gearbox I have on my other Flavia (I never mesured precisely the ratios).
As for Markus' gearbox, the 815.532 gearbox has the car type on it while 815.300 and 815.400 gearboxes had the engine type, not the car's one.

Adding to the mystery:
The Flavia Parts manual, mentions the 132 as sport 1500, but no 133 so no RH drive
Type 332 is not mentionned
So both specialists are apparently half right, or half wrong
there was no 133 RH drive (Putini) but there was no 332 either (Oude Weernink)
But what about that gearbox now?

Wonderful - mysteries abound. The joys of small production runs. For those who thought that Lancia was rational in the 1960's, let them feast on this for a while.

Just to correct my last sentence, I was so sure that gearboxes where marked with the engine type that I did'nt even checked and I was wrong, all gearboxes seem to have the car type on.
