Hallo,
Danke.

Fulviasport 1. Serie - kompl. Front ges.
Re: Fulviasport 1. Serie - kompl. Front ges.
Hi Frank, there is an entire rusty Fulvia Z for sale via ebay.uk - for 0,99 pence...starting price.
I've written the owner pertinant questions & hope to get a reply. No 1 has bid on it, probably because of few Z's in the UK.

Hello John,
thanks a lot. Let me know if you've got further information.
Better by e-mail because I am not visiting this forum every day.
Best regards, Frank

Hi Frank,
I got a nice meail from the seller today.... a reply to my inquiry about "specific condition & what is worth saving ..... Seller indicated that the car "as a whole car" is worthless; but the good parts on the car are worth a lot... I agree, can you imagine the cost of only the windows ? Or of trying to restore it ?
Check ebay.uk for the ful story.
The latest written additions -to the initial ebay.uk offer- tell the story of this "used to be a car- now a parts bin" quite well. Zagato-Lover will cry ( I did). The additional texts - short, slightly modified versions - are
Zagato, 71 - unused for years, has vandal damage, wiper arms & broken side / tail gate glass.
I bought it for wheels, for earlier model, that is quite sound. This 1 is rusty. I'm listing to include alloy wheels, otherwise I will sell less alloys but on standard steel wheels. Engine runs & sounds in good.
I will break it for spares if it does not sell.

Car is rusty in floors and what you can see. Suitable for spares. Doors corroded. Mk 2 seats with stitching undone on passenger side, drivers good. No headlining. There is no V5 document. Car is known to Zagato register. Engine runs quite OK, the rest is unknown. Car location Conway North Wales.
On 10-May-08 at 23:35:51, seller added :
No 1 wants to bid what this car should be worth - even only for the parts, I'm now retaining the wheels.
It will be on a set of steel wheels. I moved it today; it is structurally weak, suggest spares only.
Back to Frank... I guess that the (my opinion) impossible to find & impossible to recreate "entire front-end including lights & more can be bought...........however ? who goes to Wales (in a Van) to remove all the pieces & transport them gently back to Germany. A very expensive endeavor ! However, considering the impossibility of finding Z specific parts anywhere in the universe, a very cheap endeavor.
Ummm; sorry... althought I'd love to visit Wales...I am not available. !
PS: My 2d Gamma S1 Coupe - the 1 that ( I think) is worth (no matter what you think) a million dollars...the 1 that was abgemeldet in 84 !!! just got Tuev (muss Auspufftopf tauschen; habe eine neue) & will ( I hope) be my (newest) Lancia pride & joy for many many years. "Ha Ha Happy" ias how I feel !
MfG Gamma a.i. Goat (aka : Fulvia as in Clair)
Oh yes, I translated your Gamma Opinion for the Gamma Forum ... no one threatened you or me with any harm...because what you wrote is (unfortunately) rather true !!! But the same thing was said about Iso-
Grifos a few year ago & they are now worth a lot lot lot ! Will Gammas the collectors XKE of the future ?
worth zero today & worth the price of a small house tomorrow ? I hope so !!!

Re: Fulviasport 1. Serie - kompl. Front ges.
Hi John,
will forward your message to the Fulvia owner.
Thanks for your efforts.
Concerning the Gammas, I am not against Gamma - I like it.
But the question was about the insurance conditions.
And facts or enthusiasm are two different thing.
For the insurance company our enthusiasm is nor important.
That's all what I wanted to point out.
Best regards
Frank

Re: Fulviasport 1. Serie
Frank,
In my Gamma text I was just having some fun .....
I agree that Gamma's are strange cars - perfect for strange people & Liebhaber.
Liebhaber of old, rare, precious cars.... or - in the case of Gamma's - extra or semi precious (take your choice) have to be Liebhaber.
Like many Lancisti, I am so happy to drive a (old) Lancia ...in this case a Gamma, but it could be a Beta, a Flavia, a Appia. etc..........
As long as it is a Lancia & nothing else but a Lancia .....for me... I am happy.
In many ways - to be a "Liebhaber" - of older auto's - be they "qualified Oldtimers or Youngtimers" - requires us to be ... I won't say strange...I will just call us "special-people".
Being a Gammisti (or almost any other "special-car" Afficianado) makes us "different" from the masses.
That is one reason why I enjoy exchanging emails & blogs with you. John
