Guten Abend zusammen

Ich verfolge dieses Forum schon seit dem Herbst letzten Jahres, noch bevor ich mich Anfang November '04 entschied einen Kappa anzuschaffen. Genauer: Kappa 2.4 TDS 10V LS erstzugelassen August 1996. Der Kappa ist mein erstes Auto, bis jetzt habe ich den Kauf nicht bereut. Nach dem Erneuern der Stoßdämpfer und der Federn und dem 180.000Km Service hoffe ich, dass mir mein Kappa lange erhalten bleibt. Insgesamt ist er nach zwei Vorbesitzern und nicht ganz einem Jahr in meiner Hand in gutem Zustand.

Aber jetzt zum Radioempfang. Die Antenne funktioniert, das hat meine Werkstatt überprüft. Das original Radio ist nicht mehr drinn.

Beim Kauf hat mir der Händler ein Sony CDX-2000 eingebaut. Das hat mir eine Zeitlang genügt. Mittlerweile bin ich aber nicht mehr zufrieden damit. Zuviel Rauschen wo andere Autoradios noch kein Problem haben. Leider ist hier in Waidhofen/Ybbs der Radioempfang ein bekanntes Problem. Ich habe nun ein JVC KD-S891R ausprobiert. Das ist im Angebot doppelt so teuer wie das Sony und funktioniert leider noch schlechter. Zum schlechten Empfang kommt hier die schlechte Tonqualität. Noch mehr Rauschen und zuviel Hochtöner, wenig Bass.

Ich hätte nun gerne gewußt welche Autoradios in der Kappa Limousine gut funktionieren bzw. welches Radio original rein gehört. Ein Blaupunkt? Wenn ich das Original kenne kann ich hoffentlich einen guten Erstaz finden. Das Radio muss nicht nur mit der Heckscheibenantenne können sonder auch mit der Bose Anlage gut zusammenspielen.

I installed one in the roof just above the light in the front of the car. The signal is much much better than the original glass mount antenna, if you would like I could post pictures for you. (I hope you can read this) You can reply in German, my reading is much better than my writing of the language.

You think the problem is the antenna and not the radio? Maybe its a good idea to try another antenna before checking out a more expensive radio.

Pictures would be very helpful. And please give some hints for laying the cable. Do you use an amplifier for your antenna?

It is almost certainly the antenna, I even rewired the original one 2 times and it was still bad, I bougt the replacement at ATU for 8euro and installed it in about 20 min. I can assure you the radio is ok. Here is a pic (my friends were making a joke with me) but you can see the antenna.

No amplifier for the antenna, it won't be needed.

Drilling a hole into my kappa to mount an antenna is the last thing I intend to do. I will continue to look for a radio.

Jurgen, I have one of the best tuners made in my Clarion DRX9375r and I can tell you the radio will not make the difference. I really didn't want to drill the hole either but it was the best thing to do. I only drilled one hole and sealed it well with paint and silicone. there are no leaks and unless someone steals the antenna and rips the roof open there should never be any rust. One thing I have leaned over time was to use a piece of tape to clean the area after drilling to get the little pieces of metal off of the car so that you do not scratch the paint and destroy the finish. The improvement from the outside antenna is like night and day. I usualy only had about 1/16th of a signal with the glass mounted antenna and now I normaly have 100% signal strength on the radio. you can do a test with a cheap antenna by just laying it on the dash of your car or holding it above the car when stoped.

Früher sagte man immer, wenn man guten Radioempfang will, dann muss man ein deutsches Radio -Blaupunkt, Grundig oder Becker nehmen.... und auf keinen Fall einen Japaner, wenn man schwierige Empfangsbedingungen hat.

Hab das dann auch feststellen müssen, weil ich immer teure Pioneer und JVC hatte, und im Zweitauto dann immer an Stellen Radio hören konnte, wo die HI-Tec-Anlagen versagten.

Blaupunkt ist sicher qualitativ noch hoch, Grundig kann ich nicht mehr beurteilen, falls die überhaupt noch Autoradios bauen.
Ich hab im K ein Becker mit Navi nachträglich installiert, weil bei mir auch das Radio fehlte beim Kauf.

Bin mit dem Radioempfang sehr zufrieden, trotz Wohnort in den Alpen....
Hab als Antenne eine Kombi-Dachantenne (Radio/Tel./Navi), die ich anstelle der serienmässigen
Dach-Telefonantenne (beim SW). Die Fensterantenne ist abgeklemmt bei mir.

Ich habe mittlerweile festgestellt, dass der Radioempfang entscheidend besser ist, wenn ich es aus der Mittelkonsole herausziehe. Es liegt wohl doch an der Antenne und nicht am Radio. Wie kann ich sicher herausfinden ob der Signalverstärker funktioniert? Die Kappas haben ja einen eingebaut. Irgendwo rechts hinten unter dem Lautsprecher glaube ich.
