Flaminia 28 Saloon

Unread post by Stuart »

I have just been put onto what I think is a 1962 Flaminia that belonged to the Italian government ambassedor in Dublin at that time. I have no further details apart from it being maroon and the badging says Flaminia 28. Nothing else. I don't know much about them so was wondering if parts (body in particular) are available for them. Any other info would be very useful as well.

Thanks in advance
Hermann

Hallo Stuart,

Welcome to the crowd - but forget about body parts, there is just NOTHING available !

I own a Flaminia Berlina too, and after 6 (six) years of desperate seach I found a set of bumpers in
South Africa, just around the corner...as one may say.

Mechanical parts are difficult to find (and expensive too) , look at the advertisments in the forum page.

The Berlina unfortunately is low priced in the market, therefore you must be a real enthusiast to bring one back on the road.

Kind regards

Hermann

Hi Hermann.
You are very right. I have decided to pass on the car as it requires major restoration. The car is complete with bumpers and everything else on it.
It looks like the car was driven into a scrapyard (field actually) and left there.
If I had the space I would have bought the car and broke it to at least keep others on the road.
It is still for sale if anyone wants it.

Hello Hermann,

I have spare parts to sale (also in the near future) of a Lancia Flaminia 2.8 (Berlina or sedan). Would be grateful for an answer to the question posted today.

Thanks Patrick
