Hi,

I'm restoring a Lancia flaminia 3B coupe 2.8. About a year or so i bought the flaminia repair shop manual. At the moment i'm restoring the engine, and i just realize that the manual does not cover the 2.8 engine. (my engine number is 826030-....).

I supose that the tyminig adjustment is not the same in 2.5 and 2.8 engine.

Does the repair shop manual from viva-lancia cover the 2.8 engine?

regards
pacho

Hello Pacho:

Do you mean valve timing?

According to my manual, on the 2.8 berlina AND coupe, with the SPECIAL valve clearance of 0.4 mm, the timing is:

intake: open 13 degrees before TDC, close 57 degrees after BDC.

exhaust: open 57 degrees before BDC, close 13 degrees after TDC.

For ignition, the fixed or static advance is six degrees.
