Pure Mineral Transmission Fluid

One of the long-standing problems for me has been to locate a suitable oil for the Flaminia transaxle. It is my understanding that the unit should be provided GL-1 specification oil of a non EP type. In other words, even though the differential is a hypoid type, the Flaminia (and also Aurelia) should NOT be given an oil with Extreme Pressure additives. Is this correct? If so, I have located a good source.

Workshop manual specifies EP 90 for the Transaxle
(Mobilube GX90 or Esso Gear oil GP 90 in those days)

I've been happy with Redline synthetic, MT90 in the Aurelia, and 75W90NS in the Flam. Their tech dept. claims no damage to bronze or brass synchros. Shifting in both cars improved noticably.

Thanks Steve. I think I'll go with the Redline.
