appia sliding pillar oil

i was wondering what oil to use in the front suspension of my appia vignale? i'm in the u.s. so keep that in mind when recommending please. thanks in advance,

20 W or 30 W straight oil. Some put a bit of ATF in as well (see Tony Nicosia) for lubing the seals. I'd recommend 20 W.

thanks a lot for the info. also, i just noticed that one of the adjustment screws doesn't seem to be closing properly. have you any experience with servicing these?

Top reservoir: 20 W if available, otherwise a good quality modern 10W-40.
Bottom fill-up: 80-90 (gearbox oil).
