Ypsilon Elefantino 98: Deactivate Passenger Airbag

Hello,

sorry that I'm posting in english in this italian forum but in the english and in the german forum there are too less people who have good knowledge.

I own a '98 Ypsilon Elefantino 1.1 with a passenger airbag. We have to put a baby-seat on the passenger seat and so we habe to de-activate the airbag. In newer cars there are switches to de-activate it but not in my car. the manual only says, that it isn't possible to place a baby-seat there.

Is there really no solution for my problem? Can I simply pull the cable from the airbag?
