aprilia 439 special saloon

I have a Lancia Aprilia 439 from 1940.
It seems that this car was "carrozzato" by the factory itself. I found this model in an old Lancia leaflet under the name of "special 4 door, 4 light saloon".
Very recently a car like that was offered for sale in Internet under the name of "Aprilia Farina lusso". I found also a photo of this model in the www. page of the Lancia Club Italy.
I'm restoring now my car and I have problems with the reconstruction of the door wooden frames and doorsteps.
I would like to know whether any copies of technical drawings with sizes of all wooden frames for this model of car body are available anywhere.
If no drawings available I would be grateful for any photos of the original wooden construction.

Hi,
do you have some more info on which model it is exactly, perhaps the WWW-adress where the car on the web is pictured. I do have an Aprilia sales brochure that gives a sort of see-through view that includes the wooden frame but think this is a different model Aprilia upon your description.

cheers,
Jorn

Hi Jorn,

Thank you for your mail.
You can find a picture of a car like mine under the following web adresses:

1/ www.prewarcar.com - under the name of aprilia lusso burgundy

2/ www.logicnet.ru - under the name 1938 Lancia Aprilia lusso by Farina

3/ Web page of the Lancia Club d'Italia, entering cosecutively on the following pages - Mappa del sitio - I Modelli - Aprila. There you have four pre war black and white photos. The second photo from the left is a car like mine.
