Recently i purchased some late 50’s and early 60’s Lancia spares, with these a pair of Carello rear light units came, they turned out to be not for the car i thought, and i do not know for what Lancia model they are therefore i would like to ask if anyone knows?

They are basically a unit upon which a round lamp is mounted below which is a reflector. Handwritten on the unit is the partno. 803.06.8.503* L (last number not readable) and on the other 803.06.8.501.0 R.

On the Carello light unit it says BS 2516 GRADE 1 made in Italy 12 542 718 Brevettato Carello.

On the reflector it says APPR. I.G.M.No 1161 del 8.5.54 > 55 COSSATO & CAROZZO

I have also posted a pic of the lights at the web-adress http://members.lycos.nl/jvanbeckhoven/C ... ichten.jpg

Please have a look and let me know for what model they are. I think 803 is for the Aurelia but am not sure.

Thanks in advance,
Jorn

Jorn,
These hideous things were for the American market B20 and B24, at the very end of the line. A small amount of sheetmetal was removed to get them to fit. I would take a hammer to them.
