idle and air cond.

Hi forum!
When I turn on the clima on my 2,4 td, the idle falls to less than 850 rpm and a noise appears due to the belt. All the belts and tensioners are new, and the compressor has a new pulley bearing.
Is it normal? Any ideas?

That's weird, on my 2.0 20v the idle goes a bit up (about 100 rpm) when I turn on a/c. However, the whole idle speed seems strangely low - is 600 rpm normal?

Hmm idle speed for my 20VT (1999) is about 750 rpm.
With A/C on idle speed drops a tiny bit, and I have experienced the same on other cars (other brands) before.
The mechanics never told me it was to low/high so I have no clue either...

Don't know why the idle speed should be lower when the A/C cuts in, as there is a compensation system built in which should up the idle speed to counteract the A/C Compressor cutting in.
Normal practice with all Lancia fitted with A/C that I've owned, including Themas & and Ypsilon elefantino Rosso.
