On the road?

Unread post by Niels »

Hi there everyone,

Last night I experienced a bizare ordeal. I was driving with my Kappa in Amsterdam when I can up to a roundabout, the roundabout here was made out stone, so coming from the tarmac on to the stone roundabout I started to drift, whice made me decide to push the car a bit further to see what I would do.

So comming up to the first conrner at about 80 km/h on a wet stone roundabout the car started to loose it's control. I immedately tried to undo this car;s behavior. After 2 sec's I was 180 degrees turned and the engine was off.

my question is, has the Kappa a really bad road stabilisation? is there anyway to improve the preformance on roadstability for this car? should I start to think about new springs?

Thanks.
Also does anybody know if it is possible to fit the turbo's on a 2.0 litter kappa motor?

Thanks again.

Niels,
Amsterdam

Hi Niels,

We have a Kappa 2400 LS petrol for 18 months now.

I have been a couple of time in difficult situations due to traffic conditions
and road environment. I Can tell you that the road handling of this car
is very good and never let me down.
In your paticular case I would rather suspect a sliding road than anything else.
Fitting a turbo on the 2 l engine would require a large amount of work :
-New pistons
-New rods
-New can shaft
-New head gasket
-New oil circuit
-Modifier Electronic board,
-...
I would not a all trying that modification !!!
