Hi There,

I am having some difficulty setting the idle speed for my 89 GT. I have now got it set at +/- 900 but notice that when the headlights are on that the revs dip a little. Is this normal?If not what should I do?

That's normal, the revs dip because the alternator is being powering the lights.

Further load up the alternator by switching on all the electrics, and watch how the engine struggles!

Thanks,I had noticed turning some of the electrics seem to tax the engine while on idle but was not sure this was normal. The waterpump has just been changed as well so thought this might be too slack.
