Just a quick question.
Is the 1049cc 'Brazil' engine (same as in the the 127) part of the Lampredi twink family (albeit with a SOHC head), is it related to the Lampredi SOHC family, or is it something completely different? Only reason I ask is because I would have thought it would be related to the SOHC 128 family, but the bore-stroke numbers (76mm x 57.8mm) correlate more with an early small-capacity (Beta 1300) twink figures.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Y10 1049cc engine
No it's no relation to the lampredi design - twin or SOHC variants.
Parts are really rare for the 1049CC engine these days. I believe it may have been used in the Mexican Fiat Palio, but in Europe it only appeared in the Y10.

Thanks both for your responses.
Yes, they did make a lot of 127s with 1049cc donks. They can't all have disappeared for spares to be that rare, surely?
