Central Locking System

I've had my D reg. Y10 for about 3 years and the central locking has just started to go haywire. If I park on a slight slope or if it rains I can't unlock my car, which is very embarrassing. If someone could let me know how I can disconnect the central locking system I'd be very grateful. I know it's probably very easy but I have no technical knowledge whatsoever!

There is likely to be a broken cable in, probably, the drivers door which is causing the problem. Easiest way is to remove door panel, repair wire and that should solve the problem.

Thank you for that. I'll have a look at it tonight - the door panel on the driver's side actually came off about 6 months ago, so half the job's done already!!
