Dashboard in leather trim for Thema 8.32

Hi everyone,

Hope you all enjoy driving your Thema's.
I've already done approx 6000km this spring/summer in my Thema 8.32 - it's a pleasure!

As most of you know, the leather trim on the dashboard, the section covering the housing of the instruments, has a tendancy to "shrink". This is probably due to heat and in particular direct sunlight.

My beloved Thema 8.32 is in great condition, and I want it to be "perfect".
As you might guess, the leather has now started to shrink, and it's just a matter of time until it's loose.

I would like to get advice on how to fix it.
Is it advised to fit a new dashboard? If you have one for sale, I would be interested (needs to be in brown leather).

Regards,
Kim-Thore

hello ! we had the same problem with front seat passenger side.
as i see its not really only a shrinking problem but the plastic under the leather "swells"
and thatswhy the leather looses the right position.

Well you can take out the instruments then you can avaluate the problem.
Maybe you can just shorten the swelling plastic a little and stick the leather again.

of course avoid standing in the sun for hours :-)

new dashboard i think its no more available only second hand but very difficult to find.
Its better to use the money for other things :-) around engine for example
