Fulvia S1 Bonnet alignment

Hello
I am currently finishing off my Fulvia Coupe 1.3S S1 project and having some issues with the aluminium bonnet alignment. It's currently with my mechanic, who has worked on many Fulvias before; however, no matter how he sets up the bonnet, it doesn't line up. Originally, when I purchased the car, the top left corner near the windscreen was slightly raised. He's managed to correct this and align the bonnet better, but now it is sitting too far forward, and the coach lines at the front don't match.
He's adjusted about all he can short of taking it somewhere for serious modification. I've read online that the aluminium bonnets are notoriously difficult to line up and was wondering if anyone has any experience correcting this issue. The car was off the road for 20 years at some point before doing a full restoration, and I can't be 100% confident it's the original bonnet.
Kind regards,
Gareth
