Lancia Phedra a crusade for the mysterious problem.

Unread post by Vi4426 »

Hello guys, I don't know if I'm posting in the right place but I seriously need advice or answers for my current problem.

Exactly one year ago during a summer trip, the engine totaled mid-driving. During a diagnostic, we realized that a supply hose had disintegrated by dripping fuel on it, and the engine wasn't receiving something, (I forgot what exactly) and was destroyed due to the heat.

We replaced the engine 3 months later with money we had barely gathered and over that the parts that pump gas in the engine were faulty, so we threw even more money for that.
after 3 more painful months of calibrating them (they were 2x more expensive than the engine) we replaced them, with the hope that the car would finally start, a message on the dashboard appeared saying "system failure Esp/ASR" followed by "Anti-theft faulty device". Now some of you will think, well easy enough. Change the device!
well, we sent that to a specialist, and after a month of keeping it there he somehow managed to start the car, we paid him a painful amount, enough to buy an office computer, and went home. The car was finally moving from 12 months now (there were times when it stayed immobilized in parking)
we parked our car and exactly 10 minutes later we decided to go out with it again...

"system failure Esp/ASR" followed by "Anti-theft faulty device"...

We called the guy and he said that he never worked on the "Anti-theft faulty device" he just "RePlACeD SoMe CaBlEs" Really? replacing cables is worth that much? he suggested that the faulty is in our key, we don't have a spare, and spares cost a lot, also the key unlocks the car even with the sensor.

We googled what this may be causing, but at this point, it is really frustrating, we spent more than when we bought it, just to fix it and it still not working. So we are hoping that some of you guys may have dealt with this problem and give us some advice on what to do next.
