Fulvia Sport 1.3 oil dipstick

Unread post by Hugo Ferreira »

Hi

I have a Series 1 Fulvia Sport 1.3 and the oil dipstick doesn't appear to be from the car. It doesn't fit properly, it hits the bottom before reaching the rubber, anyway... I think someone in the past put a dipstick in there that wasn't from the car

That's why I'm turning to you in the hope that any owner of a Coupe or Sport with the 818.302 engine can confirm the measurements of the oil dipstick, such as:
Dipstick.jpg
Lenght - From the bottom of the dipstick to the top of the rubber
Rubber - Rubber lenght
Min - From the bottom of the dipstick to the Min line
Max - From the bottom of the dipstick to the Max line

Thank you in advance for your precious help
Regards,

Can you post a picture of the crank case showing the tube the dip stick goes into?

Hi Huib

First of all, thanks for the answer.

Below is the image of the engine block with the tube where the oil dipstick enters. Sorry if the photo isn't very good, but access is difficult, especially on the series 1 Sport, where the bonnet opens to the right side of the car.

If it doesn't help, I can try another perspective.

Thank you for your help

The picture is not very clear. But having studied it twice, the conclusion is that the crankcase is from a series 2 engine. Just get a series 2 dip stick.

And the dynamo needs a new pulley.
