Hello,
I am new to the forum and looking for assistance in identifying this car. It was originally noted to be a Steyr but looks much like a Lancia. Maybe an Astura? The car was seized by the US Army 8th Armored Division as they were entering Czechoslovakia. Thank you much for your expertise and help

Hello,

I am afraid it is impossible to identify this car.
In those times there were hundreds of coach builders
who produced their own design based on the chassis
(Italian word: autotelaio). This is a driveable car
without body.

The body looks a little bit like an Astura by Pinin Farina
but the PF doors were fixed at the rear side.
In Germany we call it Selbstmördertüren (suicide doors)
because the car would turn if the door opens while it
is running.

Best regards
Frank

I'd say it is definitely Astura, but it can be Pinin Farina, there are relatively many examples of front-hinged Astura PFs.

Pinin Farina has partnered with a number of reputable car manufacturers, including Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Peugeot, and more. Many famous sports cars and luxury cars feature Pinin Farina's signature design.

It is important to note that the "Pinin Farina" is not a car model; Instead, it is a designer who has worked on many car designs throughout its history. Some of the famous models with Pinin Farina design include various Ferrari models, Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider and Peugeot 404.
