Oil pump gasket

Hello Huib and others,
I've got a oil pump that I deem quite good, the clearance between rotor and housing is .05mm according to my measurement. Though I have to admit I don't fully trust my instruments with micrometers.
The paper gasket I have is .03mm.
The question is: Should I mount it with or without the paper gasket? If without: what type of sealant do you use instead?
Thanks, Bernt
